1966 Honda CB450 RED DRAGON for Sale

Very rare, restored 1966 HONDA CB450 RED DRAGON!I did extensive research to find the history on these motorcycles. This one, as far as I know, is the only restored Red Dragon Honda 450 in the United States! I purchased this bike about 8 years ago. When I went to work on it, I noticed there was red paint underneath the black paint. I sanded down every spot on the bike down to the original red paint. (I have many photographs and videos) I even found original red paint underneath the bottom steering race when I removed the races and bearings. I initially thought that the CB450 may have come in all 4 colors that Honda provided in the 1960s: Black, red, white, and blue. But that was not the case. I found that the US market had only black bombers, the European market had a mix of black and red, white was only for the police CB450 models, and blue was never produced by the HONDA factory. I have a factory Honda parts manual for police and black bomber CB450's and they only came in 3 colors: white, black, and scarlet red. once I establish that honda actually made red ones I disassemble the entire motorcycle for restoration. All parts removed from this bike were either repainted, re-chromed, polished replaced with OEM parts or refurbished. This was a long restoration project. I never intended to have this bike for sale, it was for my personal collection. The cases were split and completely cleaned. The top end was rebuilt: new cam rollers, new cam chain, cylinders honed, new rings installed, valves lapped, new valve stem seals, and new engine gaskets and seals. Aluminum engine cases and cam covers, were polished to a chrome like finish, and the body of the engine was painted with high-temp aluminum engine paint. I did not powder coat the frame. I could not find a powder coat color that was close enough to the factory red. The Red colors that I found always had an orange tint in the sunlight. I found an actual can of factory Honda scarlet red paint that I was able to computer match and spray the bike with the absolute factory identical red paint! I still have the factory sample paint jar which will come with the motorcycle. This cost me A LOT more than it would cost to powder coat the bike! The fenders, side covers and fork tubes are painted cloud silver. The wire harness, rectifier, starter solenoid, and speedometer were completely refurbished and rebuilt by RJ cycles. My buddy Ronnie Jennings does amazing work! The speedometer, tachometer, and odometer all work perfectly. The front and rear aluminum hubs were polished and installed with brand-new brake shoes. Both wheels have chromed axles and chromed hub linkage. New Duro tires were installed, they are the closest to a factory size and tread that I could find. They look great. The rear sprocket it is an OEM sprocket with a new DID chain. The carburetors are original to the bike they were ultrasonically cleaned and rebuilt. 1942 Harley-Davidson FL Knucklehead Pre-War Rare! for Sale

Ridgewood, NY

The 1942 Knucklehead model FL is the high performance 74 cubic inch 48 horsepower machine that was advertised as weighing 535 pounds and capable of a top speed of 105 mph. Only 799 civilian model Harley Big Twins were built in 1942 due to the US entering the war. Wonder how many are still around and running and not in personal museums or private collections? That makes this a very rare, low production machine. These pre-war OHV Knuckleheads and seldom come up for sale. Here is one with great VIN stamps and pad, and matching belly numbers. Pretty much all the 1942 Harley Big Twins (Knuckleheads and Flatheads) would have been built prior to the December bombing of Pearl Harbor, because after that most of Harley's activities were in support of the war effort. A regular rider, this FL kickstarts easily, idles well, shifts and rides as it should. Decent brakes, good charging, nice handling, and no mechanical surprises. Most of the bike is genuine Harley-Davidson parts, other than the aftermarket speedometer, floorboard inserts, 12-volt generator (for better lights and night riding) and muffler. Easy to switch back to 6-volts if desired. Genuine Harley headlight, genuine Harley forks, frame, tins (repainted), tank badges, Linkert carb, engine and transmission. Looks to be real Harley air cleaner and saddle. It starts right up with little effort, idles and runs well through all the gears. Tracks smooth and straight down the road and is about as issue-free as you could expect from a 77 year old motorcycle. Clean title. Selling my gt750b bike with the correct brown face clocks, only 3 previous owners and only 2 in the last 27 years I’ve owned it for 9 years. The bike is basically in original condition with the exception of having the frame powder coated at some point I think but not by me. I have replaced the seat with a new genuine one but I still have the original which has a tiny split, I’ve also had some of the bolts re-plated but apart from the braided hoses I think it ’s all original. All the chrome is reasonable condition but in some places is starting wear a little thin and the pipes do have the odd rust spot. It runs as it should and can could be ridden away the only thing I would say on the down side is that the chain may be coming to the end of its lift. The side panels are gloss black not satin black as they should be. 1980 KAWASAKI KZ1000 D-3 Z1R 20,319 MILES (Subject to change bike is periodically ridden) Three mods on the bike 1st on the rear blinkers, can easily be restored due to the installation of hard luggage over the years. 2nd is the addition of a solid state secondary ignition, 3rd is an after market ignition switch. Top end, pistons, rings, and a cylinder head refurbish 2009. bike uses little to no oil in between changes. Factory self canceling turn signal system in working order. The only real flaw with the bike is on the fuel tank finish, front RH side. I have a new factory NOS fuel tank in Ebony (pristine cond. ) that will be included with the sale of the bike. Spare fuel tank very clean inside. Existing tank lined with liner (not pour 15) and has been in use for many years. Bike starts right up and idles. fuel economy within original specs, around 35MPG> Have not had to touch the plugs in years. Tires are Michelin Pilot Active, in great shape. Seat skin is not original but is a gel lined vintage looking Cavalcade seat. A very comfortable addition. bike does not have the tool kit, but it does have the period correct owners manual and manual cover. Bike has the factory center stand, and under-seat kick starter. Other items refurbished or replaced over the years, Carburetors. Brakes initially overhauled, then periodically flushed around every 24 months. I located and added the Factory airbox and Exhaust system. New Deka Battery (USA made) replaced Spring 2020. Oil changed at 2,000 miles. X-ring chain and sprockets, If I recall, I have the factory gearing on the sprockets. I replaced the ignition switch, so there are two keys with the bike. I will have to locate, but I do have the factory ignition switch, I was troubleshooting a past problem, and I do not think there is an issue with the O. E. switch. The original primary ignition coils were replaced with factory Kawasaki coils. Fork seals are not leaking and are in good condition. I would like to mention again that this bike comes with an NOS never before used fuel tank. Clean title.
