1975 BMW R90/6 Cafe Racer. A truly one-of-a-kind custom build. Everything completely rebuilt. In all aspects, a BRAND NEW BIKE. I've been riding Airheads for a long time. And our shop has been servicing and building custom Airheads for many years. The R90/6 is my favorite, for its versatility and reliability. Our shop restores one or two every year and we build a cafe racer similar to this one every three or four years. A properly set-up R90/6 can cruise the highways at 80 mph all day long, and rip through the canyon roads as well as any motorcycle of its era. And its reputation for reliability is legendary. In the spirit of creativity, we've removed the entire top of the engine and fabricated a neat front engine cover to protect the electrics. The frame, rims, and other black parts have been powder coated. For increased electrical reliability, we converted to electronic ignition and an upgraded modern solid-state charging system. We machined each head to accept a second spark plug, and the spark is provided by high output coils. This set-up prevents detonation when lower octane gasoline is used, which allows us to retain the high compression of the stock engine without requiring the use of 100 octane gasoline. With dependability a priority, we performed only minor power modifications to the engine. We installed high performance pistons for a slight increase in horsepower. And we lightened and polished the rockers and lightened the flywheel, which resulted in quicker throttle response without sacrificing reliability. This 1979 Honda Goldwing gl1000 Custom Trike is a modified vehicle with updates to the exterior and drivetrain. The owner has had it for 3 years. The vehicle runs great and is mainly used for weekend drives. Rear end is from a 2006 Ford Ranger 4-10 gear ratio, converted over to disc brakes with Mustang drilled rotors. Custom built intake with a jetted VW carb. everything was hand built by myself. I built it to drive so it has some gravel chips and wear on the paint job. Once I got everything the way I wanted I was going to disassemble and get it repainted by a professional. It definitely catches attention and runs great. Steers hard in the corners so I was going to build springer forks with dom tubing. So far I only have the tubes machined.
