1979 Dodge Lil Red express LIL RED EXPRESS.
1979 Dodge Adventurer 150 Lil Red Express Truck, this is a two-owner truck, Dad left to son, and I just purchased it, Truck has clear title, Vin, and Tag. This truck has only 43,163 miles showing and when put in Son's name over two years ago title shows 37,900 actual miles at the time. Truck has been
repainted once, exterior only, all inside, under hood and door jambs are original paint. The body solid with no rust, paint is older with minor dings and few scratches here and there. Original wheels are also showing age. This truck is a very nice driver and runs great, Motor was rebuilt from sitting and I have all receipts from 2020 on Complete rebuild.
The 727 transmission was also rebuilt. Motor has.30 over on pistons,10 on crank. All new front disc brakes, and rear drums with new hoses and lines. The A/C is aftermarket but was installed at Chrysler Dealership. The Rear End has 3.55 gears and is sure grip, Truck has aftermarket Stereo with all other stock gauges. Truck has new fuel
sending unit, but gauge does not read correct at all times. A/C is ice cold, it also comes with all receipts and was purchased in 1980 at dealership in Arkansas.
The Black Bucket seats are also all original with some tears will need to be refinished. Wood in bed of truck and on outside needs to be replaced and refinished. The exhaust is all new, even to the correct top chrome tips, very nice job no converters. Bumpers are original but would need to be replaced for Show truck. Truck comes with original spare, correct wheel and bracket to put under truck. Overall, this is a very low milage, solid rust-free truck that drives good and tight. Doors and glass are very nice. Front grill has
small dent and scratches. on all fours. Power Disc Brakes, Power Steering, A/C.
These trucks have doubled in price in the past two years and are only going up. These are collector trucks as only being a two-year production with a little as 2,188 or so built in 78 and a little over 5,000 in 79. I know not many out there with this low of milage, and rust free. This is a nice solid driver truck and ready for shows. (Not a restored show truck)Please call with any questions. UPDATE All interior has been repaired and all exterior oak wood installed, and wood bed with stainless strips have been installed. UPDATE just had engine rebuilt and is on the road again. all original truck, and 43000 original miles.
